   Keeping up your guard

Boxing Lessons will teach you how to:

  • Enhance basic boxing technique: As covered in boxing fitness classes.
  • Slip, block and parry punches: The goal is not to get hit. With practice you will learn how to slip with the best of them.
  • Counter punch effectively: Counter punching is about making points and learning to respond instead of react.
  • Spar: Sparring is fun when you are learning, and when you and your sparring partner safely challenge one another to greater levels of skill.
  • Face your own feelings of fear or inadequacy: Everyone has reactions to hitting or being hit. You will learn how to remain centered, and to use your technique in the face of potential danger. This is a skill that will benefit you the rest of your life.
